Prerequisites & Initial Setup

1. Log in to Nodeware at app.nodeware.com. If you do not have a Nodeware account, visit nodeware.com for more information.

2. Click Integration on the left side bar and select Autotask.

Note: only Owner/Administrators can view and select Integrations.

3. Select Configure on the Autotask card.

The screen below appears.

4. Enter the email address associated with your Autotask account and select Start Setup.

Note: if the account is not found, double check that the email address is correct or use a different Autotask account.

If the Autotask dashboard is not already open, use the Autotask Dashboard link in Step 1 on the screen above to sign in.

5. Hover over the hamburger main menu and Admin to select Extensions & Integrations.

6. Select Other Extensions & Tools and then Integration Center.

7. Search for "Nodeware - Network Security" in the list and hover for the subtask menu to appear on the left.

8. Click Add API User.

9. The screen below appears.

10. Complete the required fields.

Note: complete all instructions below before clicking Save & Close.

• General

o Enter First Name and Last Name
o Security Level: Select API User (system) Can't Read Costs
o Primary Internal Location: Select as appropriate

• Credentials

o Click Generate Key
o Copy value from the Username (Key) field
o Paste value in the Email Address field above
o Also paste the value in the Username (Key) field on the Test Connection screen.

o Navigate back to the Add API User screen.
o Click Generate Secret.
o Copy the value in Password (Secret) field and paste the value in the Password (Secret) field on the Test Connection screen.
o Navigate back to the Add API User screen.
o Click Save & Close on the Add API User screen. Note: Perform this action before testing the connection on the Test Connection screen.
o Return to the Test Connection screen.
o Click Test Connection. A popup window appears that says “Connection Success, click Save & Continue below.”

11. Click Save & Continue, which saves the API User information.
