Apply & Verify Credentials

When credentials are created, they can be applied to an asset.

Apply Credentials

To apply credentials, do the following:

1. Click the Customer card where credentials will be applied.

The Assets view appears listing all the customer’s assets.

2. Click the individual asset where credentials will be applied.

3. Click Enable Credentials.

4. Select one of the credentials and a benchmark (i.e., Operating System).

5. Click Enable.

Verify Credentials

To verify credentials, click into the asset in which credentials were applied. The Blue doughnut graph indicates the credentials are working correctly.

If the doughnut graph is RED, the credential contains an error. Click the doughnut to review the error.

Credential Storage Security

All credentials enabled in Nodeware are immediately hashed and stored securely. The credentials cannot be recovered by support staff or accessed by Nodeware in plain-text format. Because of these security measures, credentials cannot be updated.
